Fuel Standard Development
The objective of this work package is to draft a proposal for a standard that can be accepted by all the Member States of the European Standardization Committee (CEN). This so-called EN standard needs full product and test method assessment and correlation of field experience on distribution systems and engines.
For that, input from the other work packages is needed. To have intermediate results and to invite additional experts (also from non-European countries or organizations) to comment on the project's results the standard for automotive fuels will be based on several so-called CEN Workshop Agreements for 2nd generation vegetable oils.
Those intermediate CEN workshop results will be the indicators for the achievement of the ultimate objective.
The ultimate objective is an EN standard covering 2nd generation vegetable oils being feedstock independent.
